What we are talking about here is a society created by the British North America Act 1867. A society where the right of the individual to life, liberty, security of the person and enjoyment of property, and the right not to be deprived thereof except by due process of law is hnoured;
The freedom movement is not this society and is found exclusively within the other society in bijural Canada the civil law democratic society.
Canadian Bill of Rights also affirms that men and institutions remain free only when freedom is founded upon respect for moral and spiritual values and the rule of law;
The Constitution is the law of the land!
Legislators simply don’t have the authority to rule make "Where rights secured by the Constitution are involved, there can be no rule making or legislation which would abrogate them" -- Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436, 491]
